oil and gas promotion
Client required a mechanism that elaborated on its oil project in the North Sea. Since much of the data was sophisticated and obtuse to the average investor, we thought it best to simplify the message by going right to the horse’s mouth. Here is one of a series of onsite interviews with the prime geologist that was posted on several websites.
"The Q14 webfilm looks great, the star of the show may just win an Oscar!!!"
Pat Boswell, International Frontier Resources
festival promotion
How does one communicate the joy and wonder of a childrens’ festival to those who have never attended one? This 6-minute webfilm, shot in HDV, the webfilm was posted on the festival site and distributed as a DVD to dozens of schools.
“It’s fantastic. Well done. I am very impressed and grateful for your good work, sir. Nice to work with a pro."
Gord Osland, Okanagan Children's Festival
executive coaching
We worked intensely with the client to create a powerful, effective and sustaining message to their potential market base. The video’s content is timeless as it reflects the core values of the client.
"What a wonderful piece of art you've created. Both Bev and I are somewhat speechless. A hole in one!!!! Great work."
Bob Benwick, RW Benwick Assoc. Ltd.
stunt dawgs promo
We shot some of the HD sequence for this promo. Then the television/film producer asked us to compress and encode it for the show's website. The documentary went on to win a Gemini.
"That is really outstanding. Great compression. And glad to see that your "money shot" made the cut. Can't thank you enough."
Peter Kent, producer
origami master short
Shot “on the fly” in Paris, we took an opportunity to film an origami master in his studio. Posted on YouTube, the film has been seen by over 250,000 people. And a couple of the shots made the cut for the award winning "Between the Folds" documentary.
"Wow! wow! wow! totally great! And to think you put that together without the list of things you mentioned, truly remarkable."
Vanessa Gould, producer, Green Fuse Films
a painterly minute
An international painter wanted a few sweeteners for her website. We worked with her to come up with a format that would hold the interest of her patrons.
"Hey, it's great! I love it. I love it. I'm more than pleased. And the banner is like, wow. Thank you, thank you."
Cathe Gill, artist
gold company promo
We went to Colorado to film some real-time footage of an operating gold mine. The finished product was posted on the company’s website and DVD playback at trade shows.
"Video quality outstanding. Concept is quite good, the video plays all the way thru perfect. Tells a great story."
Pat Troy, Consolidated Global Minerals
oil company promo
This viral marketing 101 concept came from an oil company president himself. We powered through the production working 18-hour days to meet his objective of uploading it to his site for a Monday morning deadline. Unbeknownst to us, he alerted his worldwide brokers to tune in. The stock price nearly doubled in 10-days.
"Great work!!"
John Heenan, Wentworth Energy consultant
fashion show
A Tsimshian First Nations artist asked us to film a short commercial featuring a new line of fashions. His frog, hummingbird, raven and eagle-inspired designs completely capitivated the audience and made for some good footage.
"Very cool - the production is awesome and very captivating."
Bill Helin, Tsimshian First Nation
